When you think of lace wedding dresses do you think traditional, perhaps? Or classic? Well, lace can look fabulous as part of a classically chic design but it can also look bang on-trend and contemporary or cute and vintage. It really is one of the most versatile wedding dress materials.
Some laces add subtle, understated prettiness while others add wow factor, glitter and sparkle. So, whatever your style, lashings of lace can ensure you look absolutely fabulous. And that’s before we even get started on amazing lace accessories, such as veils and coverups!
Lace Wedding Jackets
For example, if lace wedding dresses with top-to-toe lace are too much, why not accessorise your look with a pretty corded lace jacket and veil from the Amixi range? Then you’ll get the best of both worlds!
Our favourite lace style wedding dresses…
It doesn’t get more elegant than Gloria, a classic trumpet dress embellished with traditional corded lace and finished with a stunning lace train with a scalloped hem. All you need to add is a dramatic cathedral-length veil, edged with lace, to complete the look.
Timelessly elegant, Whitney, is our sparkling new fishtail. It features layers of super soft tulle with a pretty blush lining, alongside oodles of delicate lace appliqués and sparkling beads. Perfect for lace lovers!
Warm blush tones
The soft blush colour of the bodice is super flattering to the skin tone and we’ve fallen in love with the exquisite modern floral lace.
The low down
The tasteful low back is cut to be just the right amount of revealing. Also, the huge variety of beads used in this stunning gown, combined with the lace, give it a vintage feel but with a modern twist.
A mermaid silhouette like this one is ideal for showing off natural curves – or creating more! Wear this style with our 190 underskirt to really kick out that beautiful blush skirt. If you love this style, why not also take a look at Charlize, Jenna and Bailey too.
Vivienne’s head-to-toe Chantilly lace is what makes this new sheath dress so stunning, and shows how modern and contemporary lace wedding dresses can look. We love the woodland-inspired lace appliqués, which are beautifully unique.
A sheer delight
At the back a concealed zip gives a soft and comfortable fit behind a row of chic covered buttons. The sheer illusion back also provides plenty of coverage and pretty detailing.
The neckline is cleverly designed to look pretty and feminine while still providing plenty of coverage. Go boho and wear with flowing locks and a pretty headband.
The sequinned lace in our Louisa gown is ravishingly romantic and gives the dress a modern royal feel (Meghan Markle take note!). This soft tulle gown is covered in corded lace, trimmed with a scalloped edge around the neckline and arms and finished with a low illusion back.
She’s got flare!
The fit and flare silhouette combines hourglass curves with a voluminous skirt, while the clever horsehair hem keeps the shape smooth and holds the train in place.
A luxury feel
At the back the lace trickles out onto the train oh-so beautifully. Wear this with our 163 underskirt to really make the most of the gorgeous flare silhouette. Take a look at Paris , Daria and Catherine too, for more fabulous fit and flare styles.
Create some curves
For a sexy silhouette you can’t beat mermaid or fishtail gowns, which are perfect for brides who want to make an entrance. Jensen, our new clean-cut mermaid silhouette, is cleverly designed to create a true hourglass shape and highlight your curves. The straight neckline is modest yet feminine and the soft floral lace design adds a real touch of luxury.
A luxe lace train
At the back, the curve-enhancing bodice flares out into a sumptuous train, ending in more beautiful scalloped lace. The lace on the train really does add a touch of luxury to the look and will certainly wow your guests as you glide up the aisle.
How to accessorise a lace wedding dress…
So, once you’ve made your choice from all the beautiful lace wedding dresses on offer, what next? You need accessories, of course!
Our Whitney dress looks absolutely stunning with a bit of sparkle at the waist, like our Tiffany belt. The metallic beads and crystals on our pretty Autumn headband also work well with the florals on the lace.
Add our Celine bolero into the mix and you’ve created two looks in one, with a brand new glamorous evening style.
And finally… Lace-edged veils look fabulous with lace wedding dresses but don’t feel you always need to match lace with lace. Our Chrissy veil, with its delicate scattering of sparkly diamantés, is equally divine.
The natural, bohemian feel of our Autumn headband is a great match for Vivienne’s natural lace elements.
Wear with our Solstice belt,on luxurious satin ribbon, to highlight your waist and break up the full-length lace.
And don’t be afraid to go all out with the lace. We love lace and complementary lace accessories will work wonderfully. To create two different big day looks, wear our stunning, long sleeved Halle jacket for the ceremony and then remove for the evening.
It’s just the thing for a little extra daytime coverage!
The delicate edging of our Maisie veil is also beautifully understated, and is another great match for this dress. Remember, you can choose the ideal length to suit your look too, as it comes in fingertip, chapel and cathedral lengths.
Finally, a touch of sparkle at the waist never goes amiss! So finish off with our pretty Estella belt.
