A shared love of rugby brought this couple together. Our WED2B real weddings feature reveals more:

Rugby fans Liam and Natacha first met after one of the local team’s matches. “I have always loved rugby and Liam plays for our local team, Princess Risborough,” she says. “We first met in the clubhouse. We were sat across the table from each other and sparked up a conversation.”

Popping the question…

Liam booked a holiday to Barcelona to celebrate their third anniversary. “Barcelona is the first place we went to on holiday together and Liam always knew this is where he would propose,” says Natacha. “He’d booked us into a stunning five-star hotel with panoramic views. When he got down on one knee on the beach I couldn’t help but shed a tear of joy. The only off-putting thing was the man wandering along the sand trying to sell us a mojito. It still makes me smile every time I think about it!”

The dream dress

Natacha wore Cadenza by Anna Sorrano. “After looking at quite a variety of dresses I decided that the fit and flare style worked best for me,” she says. “I loved the fit of Cadenza and the corset back gave me a lovely shape. The lace detailing and neckline were also beautiful.

It felt amazing when I put it on and I just knew it was the right one. It combined all the details that I’d loved in various other dresses I had tried on.” Natacha also bought a simple fingertip length veil from the WED2B Bridal store in Milton Keynes to finish her look off perfectly.

A rustic reception

Old Luxter’s Barn in Oxfordshire was the the couple's wedding venue. “It’s a lovely little barn set in beautiful countryside, surrounded by woods and fields,” says Natacha. “We wanted a venue that was close by so that Liam’s grandparents could come and The Old Luxters Barn was the perfect size and also dog friendly, which was the cherry on the cake.”

The theme was rustic to go with the setting, with decorations made by Natacha, her mum and sister. Tables were named after places the couple had travelled to and the table plan was a map with luggage tags. “As we got married on Easter Sunday, our favours were painted mason jars filled with mini eggs,” says Natacha.

The bride walked down the aisle to ‘Tenerife Sea’ by Ed Sheeran, following the couple’s dog, Scrabble, who was the ring bearer. “My favourite memory was hearing the registrar say that we were now husband and wife and seeing the happiness in Liam’s eyes. It just made me burst with pride at how lucky I was to be marrying the man of my dreams.”
