A year on from making their secret relationship public, Clarence House has finally announced that Prince Harry is to marry his American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle! A royal wedding next spring – hooray! And obviously we’re already obsessing over just what Meghan Markle’s wedding dress will be like.
Harry, fifth in line to the throne, and Meghan will marry next spring and live at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London. Prince Harry said in a statement that he was “delighted to announce” the engagement. So read on for a few stunning styles that we think will be just perfect for Meghan Markle’s wedding dress…
A contemporary chic ball gown
Firstly, with its high boat neckline and rich mikado fabric, Isabella is classic and chic with a modern twist. We just love the dramatic box-pleat skirt and intricate lace. It’s certainly elegant enough for a future princess!
Stylish sparkling crystals
Raphaela, our Platinum Edition fit and flare gown, has a champagne bodice encrusted with crystals that guarantees a show-stopping entrance. The balance of lace and modern styling is perfect for a contemporary royal wedding. Featuring metallic lace, delicate back details and an illusion neckline, this gorgeous gown could be Meghan Markle’s wedding dress dream!
Modern metallic embroidery with an elegant illusion neckline
Prince William and Catherine have said they are “very excited for Harry and Meghan”. They added, “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.” So, will Meghan Markle’s wedding dress include long lace sleeves like her future sister-in-law’s?
If so then she’ll love Paris, our stunning fit and flare lace gown. It features metallic threads and enchanting lace sleeves. The flared skirt gives a figure-flattering shape while the pretty illusion neckline provides plenty of modest coverage. Possibly a good idea when your granny-in-law will be the Queen!
With a spring wedding to plan, the couple might also take inspiration from the season itself. Think hazy blossoms, soft pastel colours and lots of pretty delicate flowers. Only time will tell. Clarence House, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s official residence, said that further details would be “announced in due course”.
We can’t wait!
