Belts can give a very elegant finish to a dress, and create a stunning silhouette which really enhances the wow factor! Claire chose a dress with a silver sash, embellished with beautiful floral appliqué, which looked fabulous.
She chose the dress, which is called Gaynor, from WED2B’s vintage-inspired Viva Bride collection, and you must admit that she looked simply amazing beside her tartan-clad husband!
Claire was pleased that she had chosen a lighter dress for her September wedding, as it turned out that the event took place on the hottest day of the year. Nobody can ever dictate the weather for their big day – as much as they would like to! – so it’s often a bit of a shot in the dark regarding how you plan to dress. Claire was extremely glad to have a chosen a strapless, relatively low-cut dress, with a sweetheart neckline. Anything more and she may have found the day rather too warm for comfort! Despite the day being so hot, she managed to look cool, fresh, and elegant in the fishtail gown.
She enhanced the overall effect by wearing a hip length, tiered veil. Sometimes brides can forget that the veil can obscure or even overwhelm the dress, but Claire’s veil was light and relatively transparent, allowing the beauty of the dress still to be appreciated. Even when she turned around, you could still see the detail of the lace-up back. She also wore a simple tiara in her pretty up do – again not detracting from that incredible dress!
Claire appreciated the helpfulness of the staff at WED2B’s Burbage store, as they helped her find the right dress for her and her particular styled wedding. You can see the wonderful Scottish-themed wedding and Claire in her stunning dress at
