That rich satin lacing is essential for pulling the bodice in, to ensure it fits snuggly, securely and flatters your figure to perfection.

It’s also a feature that works well with every type of wedding dress, although it looks particularly great on styles with big skirts, such as ball gown dresses. The lacing creates a figure-hugging fit that's accentuated by the volume of the skirt, giving you the perfect nipped in waist. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Below we’ve picked some of our favourite corset back designs to help you find your unique look…

Classic style

A corset back has a timeless feel, so it’s no surprise that many of the designs in our sophisticated Anna Sorrano range feature it. Gorgeous Rosalee, for example, has a classic sweetheart bodice with supportive lacing. It’s also covered with delicate English garden-inspired lace that falls prettily down the skirt, leading the eye to the sumptuous rose lace hem.

The simple silhouette and beautiful, understated lace are perfectly designed to let your natural beauty shine through. Meanwhile, the stylish lace-up back quietly does it job, creating a great supportive fit.

Luxurious Mikado

Rosana features a regal ball gown skirt made from shimmering Mikado. This is complemented by an intricately embroidered lace bodice that beautifully marries modern and traditional styling. And, as an added bonus, it has hidden pockets which we know our brides just love!

Turn around and you’ll reveal the corset back with its elegant lacing. Again, this ensures the dress fits like a dream, while pulling in your waist to show off the magnificent Mikado skirt in all its glory.

The perfect shape

A lace-up back can look wonderful with almost any bridal silhouette, as Constantina shows. This sexy fishtail design features floral lace from head to toe, along with a scattering of clear sequins for delicate sparkle. The corset back is essential here for creating a beautiful hourglass shape that gently skims curves.

Wear this design with our clever Wunderskirt too, which will make the fishtail shape ‘pop’ out at the bottom, balancing the look and further enhancing the sleek silhouette.

Fit for a princess

Lastly, beautiful Sharisse is a dream for princess brides. It’s just perfect for sweeping down an impressive staircase and making a grand ballroom entrance! This ultra-girly A-line has a brand new embroidery-style lace, with finely detailed rose and floral silhouettes. These flow across the bodice and straps before tumbling down the gorgeous skirt.

At the back, the pretty lacing works wonderfully with this style of gown. Like all of our dresses, the pleated bodice can be taken in at the side seams, but one of the joys of a corset back wedding dress is that it’s unlikely to need any alterations. The lacing will create the perfect fit! Then, for the ideal finishing touch, simply style this dress with our glittering Leonie belt, to really draw all eyes to your sculpted waistline!
